Global football authority FIFA has officially announced that ticket applications for the much-anticipated 2026 FIFA World Cup will begin on Wednesday, September 10.
Fans eager to witness the world’s biggest football spectacle must register and create a FIFA ID at FIFA.com/tickets to enter the initial ticket draw.
The 2026 tournament — to be jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States — is already generating major global buzz, especially after the successful hosting of the FIFA Club World Cup on U.S. soil.
“We can’t wait to welcome the world back to North America,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino. “Canada, Mexico, and the U.S. are set to stage the biggest and most spectacular event in sports history. Fans should prepare early — these will be the hottest tickets on the planet.”
FIFA revealed that the ticketing process will unfold in multiple phases, each with its own purchase mechanisms, pricing categories, and payment methods. More detailed updates will be shared monthly in the build-up to the tournament.
The final tournament draw will take place in December 2025, where competing nations will discover their group stage matchups, venues, and game schedules.
The World Cup kicks off on June 11, 2026, in Mexico City, with the grand final slated for July 19 in the New York/New Jersey area.
