Ghana’s new Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has wasted no time in getting to work after officially assuming office.

In a key move, he held a meeting with officials from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Monday, February 10. This discussion follows President John Dramani Mahama’s directive for the Minister to initiate sports reforms, beginning with football’s governing body.

“I expect you to focus on revitalizing all sporting disciplines. The Ghana Football Association is a good starting point to help restore the Black Stars to their former glory,” President Mahama emphasized during the swearing-in ceremony.

Beyond football, Minister Kofi Adams is expected to engage with other key stakeholders as part of a broader plan to revamp sports across the country.
