Lamashegu and Bayanwaya have maintained a 100 percent record in the group stage after ending the second round of the All Star Festival Community Football Gala with two wins each from the opening two games in in Group A and D respectively.
Lamashegu, placed in Group A, continued their fine form from the opening game by beating Sabonjida by a narrow 1-0 victory in the second group game, goal courtesy, Abdul Majeed.
This victory means that Lamashegu leads Group A with 6 points after two games, and has secured a place in the quarter finals ahead of the last round of games.
Also in Group A, Sagnerigu edged Changli by a lone goal to secure their first win in the gala. This leaves Changli bottom of Group A with no points.
Elsewhere in Group D, Bayanwaya matched Lamashegu’s feat, also achieving a 100 percent record after two games.
They beat Dagban Dabbi Fong 2-1 in the second group game to secure a place in the quarters alongside Lamashegu.
Also in Group D, Nyohini recorded the biggest scoreline in the second round, when they brushed Banvum aside in a 4-1 victory.
In Group B, Hausa Zongo shared the spoils with Zobgeli in a tense 1-1 draw.
This draw moves Hausa Zongo to the summit of Group B with 4 points while Zobgeli comes second with a point.
Two drawn games in Group C have left the group wide open going into the final round of games.
Sakasaka and Kakpagyilli played out a 1-1 draw in their second game while Kukuo and Kpalsi played out a goalless but entertaining draw.
With only a game left, all four teams in the group have a chance to progress to the knockout round.
