Popular Ghanaian dancer and choreographer Dancegod Lloyd added his energy and flair to the All Star Festival 2025, not on the dancefloor this time, but on the football pitch representing the Southern Sector team in the headline match held at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Wednesday, June 18.
Following his appearance, the celebrated performer expressed his excitement about participating in the fourth edition of the festival and proved he’s not just talented in dance.
It’s a great feeling. The coach thought I didn’t know how to play football but I proved to him. Sometimes you wait for the opportunity. Dancegod Lloyd said this after the match.
He also praised the All Star Festival as an important and inclusive platform, encouraging more Ghanaians to rally behind the initiative.
I believe it’s a good initiative and we have to support the All Star Festival to be big, he added.
Dancegod Lloyd featured alongside top professional footballers such as Thomas Partey, Jordan Ayew, Majid Ashimeru, and Lauren Juul Hansen, in a match that ended 2-1 in favor of the Southern Stars.
The 2025 All Star Festival was a fusion of sport, entertainment, and culture. From curtain raiser matches between GH Media and Entertainment Stars, to vibrant performances from top Ghanaian artists, the event lived up to its reputation as the ultimate off-season celebration of talent and community.
