Danish footballer Lauren Juul Hansen has expressed her excitement after participating in the 2025 All Star Festival, held at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on June 18, 2025.
The 24-year-old, who plays for Boldklubben af 1893 in Denmark, featured for the Southern Sector team in the headline match of the festival’s fourth edition.
Speaking after the game, Lauren shared her joy at being part of such a unique football and cultural experience.
It’s amazing to play in the All Star Festival because I love to play football and that’s why I’m in Ghana. It’s nice that I played with the Black Stars players, she said.
She also made a passionate appeal to the corporate world and the Ghanaian public to throw their weight behind the festival in future editions.
I will want more companies to come on board to sponsor the All Star Festival and every Ghanaian to support the All Star Festival, she added.
Lauren’s presence marked a special highlight for the 2025 edition, which was headlined by Black Stars vice-captain Thomas Partey and featured other top stars like Jordan Ayew, Majid Ashimeru, Emmanuel Boateng, Benjamin Asare, and Ibrahim Sulemana. The main match ended in a 2-1 victory for the Southern Stars over the Northern Stars.
