Bechem United have confirmed the appointment of Stephen Desmond-Issah Botchway, also known as “Orchester,” as the club’s new head coach.
The experienced tactician has signed a two-year contract with the Ghana Premier League side following successful talks.
The club announced the news via their official Facebook page, describing Botchway as a coach with deep passion, strategic vision, and the right pedigree to lead the team into a promising new era.
Botchway, known for his disciplined and methodical coaching approach, previously managed Kotoku Royals and Liberty Professionals. He rose to prominence during his tenure at Kotoku Royals, where he oversaw one of the club’s most competitive runs in recent years.
In a restructuring move, former head coach Kwaku Danso has transitioned into the role of Technical Advisor. Danso is credited with establishing the club’s tactical framework and is expected to continue providing strategic direction as the team builds toward long-term success.
The Hunters have already begun reinforcing their squad for the upcoming 2025/26 season, having signed ex-Ghana U17 star Aminu Mohammed and Nigerian forward Frank Promise.
After finishing 9th last season, Bechem United are aiming higher, with a top-four finish as their main target under Botchway’s leadership.
