The Ghanaian national football team, the Black Stars, has arrived in Morocco ahead of their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Madagascar.
The team, consisting of 23 players and the technical staff, is in high spirits following their dominant 5-0 victory over Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Ghana currently leads Group I with 12 points from five matches, closely followed by Madagascar, who sits just two points behind. A win in this upcoming match would significantly boost the Black Stars’ chances of securing a spot in the World Cup.
The squad departed from Accra on Saturday morning and landed at Acharif Al Idrissi Airport in Al Hoceima later in the day. With all players in good condition, Coach Otto Addo is focused on securing another crucial win for the team.
Black Stars Management Committee Chairman Dr. Randy Abbey, Vice Chairman Stephen Appiah, and former captain Asamoah Gyan are also with the squad, adding leadership and motivation ahead of the decisive encounter.
Madagascar, with 10 points from five matches, is determined to reclaim the top spot with a win. With both teams eager for victory, Monday’s clash promises to be a thrilling contest that could shape the path to World Cup qualification.
