Ghanaian international striker, Emmanuel Boateng, has officially joined Turkish Super Lig side Gaziantep FK, completing a one-and-a-half-year deal with the club. The move, which had been rumored for weeks, was confirmed today by the club’s official channels.

Boateng, 28, arrives from Saudi Pro League side Al-Orobah, where he featured in 13 matches this season, contributing two goals and two assists. The forward, who has previously played for Rio Ave and Levante, brings with him a wealth of experience and versatility in attack for his new club.

Gaziantep FK manager Selçuk İnan expressed his delight at finally securing Boateng’s services, describing the forward as a “perfect fit” for the team’s plans. İnan, a long-time admirer of the Ghanaian, had reportedly made Boateng his top priority for the winter transfer window.

“We are thrilled to welcome Emmanuel to Gaziantep FK,” İnan said during the announcement. “His technical ability, pace, and work ethic will be invaluable as we look to strengthen our squad and push for higher positions in the league, and we believe he will quickly adapt to our system.”

Boateng was spotted in the stands during Gaziantep FK’s recent 2-0 victory over Antalyaspor, sparking excitement among fans.

In a brief statement, Boateng shared his enthusiasm for the new chapter:

“I am very happy to join Gaziantep FK and compete in the Turkish Super Lig. The fans, the team, and the management have already made me feel at home. I’m ready to give my best and help the club achieve its goals this season.”

The Ghanaian forward is expected to begin training with his new teammates immediately the winter transfer window officially opens, and the fans are eagerly awaiting his debut, which could come as early as mid-January.

Boateng is now the fourth Ghanaian footballer to represent Gaziantep FK, following in the footsteps of Aziz Tetteh, Patrick Twumasi, and Raman Chibsah.
