Ghana experienced a notable decline in the latest FIFA World Rankings after their recent matches during the September international break.

The Black Stars faced Angola and Niger in the opening games for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Qualifiers.

Ghana lost 0-1 to Angola’s Palancas Negras at Baba Yara Stadium and drew 1-1 with Niger in Morocco on matchday two.

Previously ranked 64th globally, Ghana has now fallen to 70th after these games.

Countries that have surpassed Ghana in the global rankings include Georgia, Burkina Faso, United Arab Emirates, Albania, Cape Verde, and Burkina Faso.

The Black Stars have also slipped two places in the continental ranking, now holding the 14th spot.
