Asante Kotoko suffered their sixth Ghana Premier League defeat on the road on March 9, in their game against Karela United, in Nerelugu.

Karela United claimed a 1-0 home victory over the Porcupine Warriors, inflicting Kotoko’s fifth defeat while playing as visitors.

Early in the match, at the 13-minute mark, Solomon Aboagye came close to scoring for the hosts, but his shot from near the goal missed the target.

Throughout the first half, Karela’s goalkeeper, Ganiu Mohammed Abdul, made crucial saves to keep the scoreline even going into halftime.

Kotoko’s defense was breached when Gayisu Ibrahim capitalized on a setpiece, giving Karela the deciding lead.

This setback leaves Kotoko with a just a win in their last three league games, continuing their struggle to catch up with the league front-runner, Samartex.
