Black Stars Team Manager and Dreams FC General Manager, Ameenu Shardow, says the current pace of football development in Ghana is far from what it could be, urging stakeholders to adopt a more long-term and consistent approach toward progress.

Speaking in an interview with The BAC Sports, Shardow acknowledged some strides made in Ghana’s football sector but stressed that the current level of development leaves a lot more to be desired.

The pace at which we are developing with regards to our football is not the best we could do. There’s more room for improvement, he said. And even with that, we need to appreciate the environment we are working in.

Shardow emphasized that meaningful transformation in Ghana football cannot be achieved within a single GFA administration, or even within two or three terms. He explained that true change requires a sustained, multi-generational effort that goes beyond the tenure of any one individual, including current GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku.

The kind of change we are expecting can’t be achieved within a term or two or three terms as president. It’s a combination of terms and will obviously go beyond the current president, he explained.
