Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC has been nominated for the 2024 Confederation of African Football (CAF) Awards as the Men’s Club of the Year following a remarkable performance in Confederation Cup last season.

They earned this prestigious nomination by reaching the semi-finals of the 2023-24 CAF Confederation Cup during their debut appearance.

Coach Karim Zito played a pivotal role in this achievement, steering the team to the semi-finals. Unfortunately, they were eliminated by Zamalek FC with a 3-0 aggregate loss, despite a commendable draw in the first leg in Cairo.

The ‘Still Believe’ club joins other nominees in the CAF Men’s Club of the Year category, including Al Ahly, Zamalek, Simba SC, Young Africans SC, Mamelodi Sundowns, TP Mazembe, RS Berkane, and Esperance de Tunis.

CAF has announced that the awards ceremony will be held in Marrakech, Morocco, on December 16. This will be the third year in a row that Morocco hosts the event, following successful ceremonies in 2022 and 2023 at notable venues like the Mohammed VI Football Complex and the Palais des Congrès.

The ceremony will feature several categories, such as African Player of the Year, African Women’s Player of the Year, Youth Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, and Club of the Year.
