The Ghana national men U-20 team will face Cote D’Ivoire in the semi-final stage of the ongoing WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship in Togo on Sunday, October 27, 2024.
The Black Satellites cruised into the last four after finishing as winners of Group A with five points having won 2-0 over Niger and also drew their remaining two games of the first phase against Benin and hosts Togo.
The Young Elephants on the other hand, also won their opening game over Burkina Faso and lost yesterday to Nigeria but still managed to finish second in Group B to advance into the knockout phase.
Both nations will approach the game with so much determination since a win won’t only guarantee a final spot but will also seal them qualification to the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
This 2025 U20 AFCON will also serve as the African qualifiers for the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile, where the four semi-finalists will qualify automatically.
