Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey has expressed his strong desire to lead the Black Stars to another FIFA World Cup appearance, following the team’s participation in the previous edition.

In an exclusive interview with 3Sports’ Michael Oti Adjei, the Arsenal player emphasized the excitement and pride that came with Ghana’s last World Cup campaign, stating that the team is determined to return to the global stage.

As players we want to be at the World Cup. We were there the last time and we saw how nice it is and we want to be there again so hopefully we win the rest of the games and we would be there, Partey said confidently.

The Black Stars are currently in the thick of the qualification race for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and Partey believes their recent experience will play a crucial role in pushing them across the finish line.

Partey, who played a key role in Ghana’s qualification and performance in Qatar 2022, is expected to bring leadership and experience to the squad during the remainder of the qualifiers. Ghana’s campaign continues with high stakes as they face decisive fixtures in the coming months.
