“The History of Manchester United is Special” – Sesko after sealing Man United move
Manchester United have officially signed RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko for £73.7m on a five-year contract. The agreement includes a guaranteed £66.3m payment, with the rest in add-ons.
The 22-year-old Slovenia international becomes United’s third major attacking signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.
Sesko, who turned down interest from Newcastle United, expressed his excitement about the move.
The history of Manchester United is obviously very special but what really excites me is the future,” he said. “Everything is in place for this team to grow and compete for the biggest trophies again soon… It is clearly the perfect place to reach my maximum level and fulfil my ambitions.
Sesko will now link up with manager Ruben Amorim’s squad as the Red Devils prepare for the new campaign.
