Standing Ovation for Kudus on His Spurs Premier League Debut

Ghanaian playmaker Mohammed Kudus announced himself in style on his Premier League debut for Tottenham Hotspur, delivering a sparkling performance in their 3-0 win over Burnley at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The 24-year-old, making his first league appearance in front of the home crowd, lit up the game with two assists, both for Brazilian forward Richarlison, who struck twice to give Spurs control of the tie before Brennan Johnson added the third to seal the win.

Kudus’ vision and precision passing drew loud applause throughout the evening, culminating in a standing ovation when he was substituted in the 86th minute for Mathys Tel.

Kudus had already featured in midweek during Spurs’ UEFA Super Cup defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in Italy, but it was his Premier League bow that truly showcased his flair, creativity, and attacking instincts.

His contribution not only gave Tottenham their first three points of the 2025/26 campaign but also underlined why the club fought hard to secure his signature in the summer.

With a trip to Manchester City on the horizon next weekend, Spurs fans will be eager to see if Kudus can replicate his dazzling debut against one of the toughest opponents in the league.
