Accra Hearts of Oak defeated Heart of Lions 2-1 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on 18th March, to remain unbeaten under their new tactician Abubakar Ouattara.

Mustapha Yakubu gave Lions the lead just on the stroke of half time.

After the recess, Hearts of Oak came out strongly, dominating possession and creating scoring opportunities.

The dominance of the Phobians was rewarded in the 50th minute of the game when Salim Adams equalized.

The rainbow boys were reduced to 10 men moments after when Dennis Nkrumah Korsah was shown a straight red card for a tackle that was deemed very dangerous by referee Amoah.

This, however, did not prevent Hearts of Oak from going all out for the winner.

Linda Mtange put Phobia 2-1 up on the 63rd minute. This goal was enough for Hearts to carry the day as victors and secure all three points.

After the win, Hearts of Oak has moved to 7th on the league log with 32 points, just one place above their arch rivals Asante Kotoko with superior goal difference.

Coach Abubakar Ouattara has steered the Phobians to three wins and two draws since his appointment, remaining unbeaten in the second round of the league.
