Lamashegu has booked a place in the final of the ongoing All Star Festival Community Football Gala in Tamale.
They achieved this feat after edging Zobgeli in a narrow 1-0 victory at the Kulikuli School Astro Turf on Friday afternoon.
Mohammed Majeed’s first half goal proved to be the difference as Lamashegu progressed to the final which is set for Saturday, June 22 at the Alui Mahama Stadium in Tamale.
After the game, Lamashegu’s Issahaku Muntari was adjudged as the man of the match for his dazzling performance.
Lamashegu has been impressive in this gala competition thanks to their defensive solidity.
This hallmark proved useful again when they faced Zobgeli in the semis in yesterday’s game.
Lamashegu, having secured their place in the final, will be waiting on the winner of the second semi-final tie between Kakpagyilli and Nyohini to complete the final’s pairing.
