Spain winger, Lamine Yamal (16), became the youngest player to score a goal at the Euros and also in the semis of the same competition.

His equalizer against France was a thing of beauty, curling a shot from just outside the penalty box into the top right corner of the France goal and beyond the reach of Mike Maignan.

Yamal received a pass from Dani Olmo before fainting a shot in and outside of some French players and sent a curler for La Rojas’ leveler after Kolo Muani had put France ahead as early as the 9th minute.

“I just remember that Dani Olmo had the ball, he gave it to me, I didn’t think, I felt confident, I tried to shoot at the corner and luckily it went in” – Yamal said.

“I’m happy. It’s a pride, it’s a dream, after all, every kid’s dream is to score a goal like this with his national team in such an important moment like this.”

“It’s a dream I’m leaving and I’m happy”, the teenager added.

R.B Leipzig forward, Dani Olmo added a second four minutes later to seal a 2-1 win against France to secure a spot in the final of Euro 2024 and await the winner of the game between The Netherlands and England.

The Barcelona youngster played his last game as a 16-year-old in the game against France as he turns 17 on Saturday, July 13, a day before the final.
