Ghanaian Winger Ibrahim Osman Joins Feyenoord on Loan
Brighton & Hove Albion forward Ibrahim Osman has sealed a season-long loan move to Eredivisie side Feyenoord.
The 20-year-old, who joined the Seagulls from Nordsjaelland earlier this summer on a five-year deal, will spend the 2024/25 campaign in the Netherlands as he looks to gain valuable first-team experience.
Brighton technical director David Weir explained the rationale behind the loan move, stating, “Ibrahim has had a good pre-season with the squad, but we have strong competition in the wide areas. We believe it’s better for his development to be playing regular senior football.”
Osman impressed during his time at Nordsjaelland, scoring ten goals and providing eight assists in 44 appearances last season. His ability to contribute in both goalscoring and creativity has attracted attention from clubs across Europe.
Feyenoord, who finished second in the Eredivisie last season and will compete in the Champions League, are known for their development of young talent. The Dutch club will provide Osman with an excellent platform to showcase his skills and continue his progression as a player.
The Ghanaian winger expressed his excitement about the move, stating, “I’m thrilled to join Feyenoord and experience Dutch football. This is a great opportunity for me to develop as a player and contribute to the team’s success.”
