Joseph Paintsil is savoring every moment of what he calls his “best December holidays yet,” following a triumphant season with LA Galaxy that culminated in winning the MLS Cup.

The Ghanaian winger has returned home to celebrate the festive season with his loved ones, and this year feels extra special.

Speaking about the unique feeling of this year’s holiday, Paintsil shared, “It’s a different feeling winning a trophy and coming home on Christmas holidays. It makes you really happy. It feels really amazing, seeing my mum and friends happy.”

The accomplishment marks a major milestone for Paintsil, who played a pivotal role in LA Galaxy’s success this season. Beyond the pride of lifting the trophy, the winger is savoring the rare opportunity to enjoy extended time off during the holidays, a stark contrast to the demanding schedules he endured while playing in Europe.

“This is my best holiday in December. I have almost a month, the most I have ever had in my career. It was just some weeks in Europe,” Paintsil said, reflecting on the time he’s now able to spend with loved ones.

Paintsil’s MLS triumph has brought joy not only to him but also to his family and community. For the 26-year-old, this December is more than just a holiday; it’s a celebration of hard work, success, and the chance to create cherished memories.

Paintsil scored 14 goals, and provided 8 assists for LA Galaxy in the 2024 season.
