Newly appointed Black Stars assistant coach, Desmond Ofei, has expressed his commitment to supporting head coach Otto Addo in steering Ghana’s senior national team to success.

After making significant strides with the Ghana U20 male national team, Ofei has been given a new responsibility to assist Otto Addo in the senior setup.

Speaking ahead of the March international break, the highly-rated young tactician emphasized his dedication to working diligently in his role as assistant coach.

My role is quite simple. It is to assist the head coach as best as I can. For me, it’s all about hard work and providing support in every possible way, especially in areas that need improvement. My focus is on contributing effectively and helping the head coach to the best of my ability. Ofei stated in an interview with the Ghana FA’s media team.

His first assignment with the Black Stars will be during the March international break when Ghana faces Chad and Madagascar in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Ofei assured that the team is determined to secure positive results and bring joy to Ghanaian.
