Former Ghanaian international Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has called on Ghanaians to move past the blame game and rally behind the Black Stars as they prepare for their upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.

The national team has faced heavy criticism following their failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) after finishing at the bottom of their group. Ghana managed only three draws and suffered three defeats in six matches.

However, with the team set to regroup for the crucial qualifiers, Agyemang-Badu has emphasized the need for unity and support instead of dwelling on past disappointments.

There is no time for blame games anymore; let’s reset the Black Stars. He told Connect FM in Takoradi.

He also urged Ghanaians to respect the decision to appoint Jordan Ayew as the new captain, calling for full backing for the forward.

Jordan Ayew is the captain of the Black Stars; let’s respect that and move on. He added.

Meanwhile, the Black Stars will begin their training camp today at the Accra Sports Stadium in preparation for their matches.

Ghana will host Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21, before traveling to Morocco to face Madagascar on Monday, March 24.

Currently, the Black Stars sit second in Group I with nine points, level with group leaders Comoros.
