Former Black Stars defender Isaac Vorsah has opened up about life after football, revealing that while he misses playing, injuries and health issues forced him into early retirement.
In an exclusive interview with The BAC Sports, Vorsah shared reflections on his career, gratitude for his journey, and his current role in the game.
Vorsah began his professional football journey with Heart of Lions in the Ghana Premier League, where his commanding performances earned him a move to Europe. He went on to play for notable clubs including RB Salzburg in Austria, TSG Hoffenheim in the German Bundesliga, and later Al-Orobah FC in Saudi Arabia, also known as Ahod City.
I’ve had a good, good career and I thank God for seeing me through it all, Vorsah said. I miss playing, but due to injuries and my health, I had to step away from the pitch.
Despite hanging up his boots, Vorsah has remained close to the sport. He revealed he is now working as an assistant coach, a role that allows him to pass on his experience and knowledge to the next generation of players.
Vorsah was an integral part of Ghana’s national team setup during his prime, featuring in the 2010 FIFA World Cup squad and playing in multiple Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.
