Vice President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mark Addo, has applauded GFA President Kurt Simeon Edwin Okraku for his vision and leadership in securing brand-new Nissan Navara pickup trucks for the Regional Football Associations (RFAs) across the country.

The vehicles, procured under FIFA’s Forward Programme, are intended to enhance mobility and operational efficiency of the RFAs, enabling them to better execute their mandate of grassroots football development.

Addressing the media at the official presentation ceremony, Mr. Addo praised President Okraku for his determination and advocacy in ensuring that Ghana benefited from the FIFA initiative.

I am happy the president had the vision and the courage to fight for this, he said. FIFA gives funding with stringent conditions, but our president fought hard to make this possible. We are all witnesses to this achievement.

Mr. Addo further appealed to FIFA for continued support to ensure more developmental projects are realised across the country through the FIFA Forward programme, which aims to strengthen football governance and infrastructure at all levels.

The initiative has been widely welcomed as a significant milestone in the GFA’s efforts to decentralize football development and empower regional bodies with the tools they need to thrive.

This latest intervention underscores the GFA’s commitment to building strong foundations for Ghanaian football, with a focus on improving infrastructure, administration, and access at the regional level.
