Afena-Gyan Heads to Turkey in Loan Move to Amedspor

Ghanaian striker Felix Afena-Gyan has sealed a season-long loan switch from Italian side US Cremonese to Turkish second tier side Amedspor, with the deal carrying an option to buy.

The 22-year-old, who first burst onto the European scene with AS Roma in 2021 after scoring a memorable brace against Genoa under José Mourinho, has endured a stop-start career since his breakthrough.

Stints at Cremonese and a loan spell with Juventus Next Generation last season offered limited opportunities to fully showcase his potential.

Now, Afena-Gyan sees his move to Amedspor — a side competing in Turkey’s TFF First League — as the perfect chance to reignite his career.

The club, formerly known as Buyuksehir Belediyespor, confirmed the signing on their official platforms, expressing confidence that the pacey forward can add firepower to their attack.

For the Ghanaian international, this represents more than just another transfer; it’s a fresh chapter and an opportunity to rebuild momentum.

At just 22, time is still on his side, and a strong campaign in Turkey could put his career firmly back on track.
