With just 15 days remaining, the buzz around the 4th edition of the All Star Festival continues to build as two rising stars Faisal Charwetey and Jerry Afriyie have officially been confirmed for this year’s showpiece.
Faisal Charwetey, the dynamic winger for Nations FC, has been instrumental in his club’s impressive campaign this season in the Ghana Premier League. Known for his pace, creativity, and eye for goal, Charwetey’s presence at the festival adds another layer of excitement for fans eager to see Ghana’s finest in action.
Joining him is Jerry Afriyie, who plays for Lugo in the Spanish lower division and has featured for both the Black Stars and Ghana’s U-20 (Black Satellites). Afriyie brings international experience and flair to what promises to be an unforgettable lineup of talent.
The All Star Festival Accra 2025 will take place on Wednesday, 18th June, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, kicking off at 4PM GMT. It will feature a highly anticipated exhibition game between the Southern Sector Stars and the Northern Sector Stars, alongside several other exciting activities.
In addition to the main match, the festival will include:
A Health Walk with the Stars
A Durbar with the Ga Mantse
An Open Bus Ride with the players through Accra
Two curtain-raiser games: Legon School Team vs USPA School Team and GH Media vs Entertainment Stars.
This year’s edition, under the theme “The Stars Are Coming to the Community,” continues The BAC Group’s mission to connect football icons with fans, celebrate community culture, and promote sportsmanship across Ghana.
