Ghanaian striker Antoine Semenyo has signed a contract extension with AFC Bournemouth, committing his future to the Premier League side until the summer of 2030.
The new deal effectively ends transfer speculation linking him with top clubs like Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur during the current window.
Semenyo, 25, has been a standout performer for the Cherries since arriving from Bristol City in January 2023. He enjoyed a stellar 2023/24 season, netting 11 goals and providing five assists to help the club achieve their highest-ever points tally in the top flight.
Reflecting on the extension, a delighted Semenyo expressed his gratitude and excitement:
I’ve grown so much at the club, both on and off the pitch. From the fans to the staff and my teammates, it’s a great place to be. I’m excited to return for pre-season and keep pushing forward.
Tiago Pinto, President of Football Operations at Bournemouth, welcomed the decision, praising Semenyo’s impact and commitment to the club’s long-term project.
Antoine has been vital to our progress. His dedication aligns with our ambition, and we look forward to what lies ahead.
Since joining Bournemouth, Semenyo has featured in 89 matches across all competitions, scoring 22 goals and contributing 10 assists.
