Arsenal Sweating Over Partey’s Fitness Ahead of Manchester United Clash

Thomas Partey’s availability for Arsenal’s Premier League showdown with Manchester United remains uncertain, as Mikel Arteta hinted that a decision would be made closer to kick-off.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Arteta revealed that Partey’s involvement hinges on final assessments ahead of the game scheduled for Wednesday, December 4, at 20:15 GMT.

Partey was absent in Arsenal’s emphatic 5-2 victory over West Ham last weekend due to a muscle strain sustained shortly before the match.

His absence marked his first missed league game of the season, raising concerns over his readiness for the crucial fixture against United.

“We’ve managed workloads for some players and avoided certain activities. We’ll review everyone’s condition and decide who’s ready to play,” Arteta explained, referencing updates on Partey, Riccardo Calafiori, and Mikel Merino.

The Ghanaian midfielder has been a key figure for Arsenal this season, delivering stellar performances in his 12 league appearances and contributing two goals. His form has been instrumental in Arsenal’s strong start to the campaign.

Meanwhile, Manchester United, under new manager Ruben Amorim, are unbeaten in three matches since his appointment. They will look to maintain their momentum as they face an Arsenal side eager to extend their own run of positive results.
