Asante Kotoko extended their lead at the top of the Ghana Premier League with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Holy Stars at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, March 23.

The Porcupine Warriors secured the crucial three points thanks to an early 14th-minute goal from Tenedu Samuel, which proved to be the match-winner.

Despite several attempts from Holy Stars to equalize, Kotoko’s defense remained resolute, ensuring they held on to their slim advantage until the final whistle.

With this victory, Asante Kotoko remain at the top of the table with 45 points, three ahead of second-placed Bibiani Gold Stars. Holy Stars, on the other hand, remain in 14th place with 24 points, struggling to move away from the relegation zone.

The win reinforces Kotoko’s title ambitions, while Holy Stars will need to bounce back in their upcoming fixtures to avoid a potential relegation battle.
