Accra Hearts of Oak have confirmed that their experienced goalkeeper, Benjamin Asare, has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2027.

The announcement comes as a major boost for the Phobians, who currently sit 5th on the Ghana Premier League table with 40 points after 25 matches.

Asare, 32, has been in exceptional form this season, keeping an impressive 13 clean sheets and conceding just 14 goals, making Hearts of Oak one of the best defensive sides in the league.

His consistent performances have not only stabilized the team’s backline but also drawn interest from several clubs, especially after his outstanding showings for the Black Stars in recent World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.

However, the veteran shot-stopper has opted to commit his future to Ghana’s most historic club, reaffirming his loyalty and ambition to help Hearts return to their glory days.

The Board and Management of Accra Hearts of Oak are happy to announce that Black Stars goalkeeper, Benjamin Asare, has extended his contract with Ghana’s biggest club, the club said in a statement.

The extension is seen as a significant step in the club’s plans to build a competitive squad capable of challenging for the league title and making an impact in continental competitions.
