Berekum Chelsea coach Samuel Boadu eyes double glory
Berekum Chelsea coach Samuel Boadu has set his sights on an ambitious campaign, declaring his intent to win both the Ghana Premier League and the MTN FA Cup this season.
Boadu, a previous Ghana Premier League and FA Cup winner with Hearts of Oak back in 2021 has a reputation for success, revealing that while the league title remains a priority, the FA Cup is his most desired target.
“My target this season is to win both the GPL title and the FA Cup,” he said. “However, at the very least, we want to finish within the top six. I seriously need the FA Cup because Chelsea has won the league before, but the FA Cup is still missing. It’s something I want us to achieve this season.”
Chelsea, league champions in 2011, are yet to lay hands on the FA Cup despite their growth in Ghanaian football. Boadu believes this season presents the perfect opportunity to complete the club’s trophy cabinet while also challenging for the league crown
