Bibiani Gold Stars SC are the new champions of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League! The club made history by winning the league title for the very first time after a stunning 4-0 victory over Accra Lions on the final day of the season.
Playing in front of their home fans at Dun’s Park, Gold Stars knew they needed a win to secure the title and they delivered in style. The result took them to 63 points, finishing ahead of Nations FC and Heart of Lions, who both ended the season on 60 points.
This season has been the best ever for the club. With 19 wins, 6 draws, and just 9 losses from 34 matches, Gold Stars were consistent and strong from start to finish. They scored 38 goals and conceded only 21, ending the season with a goal difference of +17.
Their final-day performance not only secured the points but also boosted their goal tally, giving them a strong edge in what was a very tight title race.
The race for the title was very competitive, with four teams Bibiani Gold Stars, Nations FC, Heart of Lions, and Hearts of Oak, all in the chase until the last few weeks. But it was Gold Stars who held their nerve and finished strong when it mattered most.
As champions, Bibiani Gold Stars will now represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League next season, taking their story to the rest of Africa.
