Fresh off their superb performance at the 13th African Games, Ghana national U20 coach, Desmond Offei, has set his sights on qualifying the team to the Under 20 world cup in 2025.
Ghana has a rich history in youth football, having won the U-20 World Cup in 2009 in Egypt.
Ghana remains the only African nation to have won the world cup at the U20 level.
Offei will be aiming to continue this legacy and guide the next generation of Ghanaian stars onto the world stage.
Offei spoke about his desire to qualify the team to the next edition of the world cup which will come off in Chile.
We really want to partake in the world cup which is in 2025, next year in the summer. We still have a lot of work to do. Now we’ve got good pace and we’ll build on it- Offei.
The next assignment for the Satellites is the WAFU zone B tournament which will happen in Togo later this year.
