Ghana’s U-20 team, the Black Satellites, remain winless in their pre-tournament friendlies in Egypt ahead of the 2025 TotalEnergies CAF U-20 Cup of Nations. Their latest outing ended in a 2-2 draw with Kenya last Thursday, following a 2-1 defeat to Zambia earlier in the week.

The match against Kenya was an entertaining affair, with both sides showcasing strong performances. Ghana took an early lead thanks to a brace from in-form Dreams FC forward Abdul Aziz Musibau. However, Kenya responded swiftly with goals from Hassan Beja and Lawrence Ouma to equalize before halftime.

Despite the lack of victories, head coach Desmond Ofei remains optimistic, using the matches to experiment with different lineups as he fine-tunes his squad for the tournament.

Drawn in Group B, Ghana will face defending champions Senegal, DR Congo, and the Central African Republic. The Black Satellites kick off their campaign against DR Congo on Friday, May 2, 2025.
