Black Stars to Open Camp on September 1 Ahead of Crucial World Cup Qualifiers
Ghana’s Black Stars will begin preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers starting Monday, September 1, 2025, with the team assembling at the Accra Sports Stadium in preparation for back-to-back fixtures against Chad and Mali.
The camp opens with a public training session on Monday morning, followed by a closed-door training on Tuesday. Later that day, the team departs for N’Djamena.
The team will train in N’Djamena on Wednesday, September 3 before playing Chad at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno on Thursday, September 4.
The Black Stars will return home the same day and hold a recovery training on Friday.
Usual training routine will follow on the subsequent days before Otto Addo’s men host Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, September 8.
With Ghana currently topping Group I on 15 points from six games, three clear of Comoros, these upcoming matches are pivotal in their quest to secure a fifth World Cup appearance.
