Borussia Dortmund has defeated arch rivals, Bayern Munich, in the Bundesliga to end the Bavarians dominance over them.

Prior to their encounter today, Dortmund was winless against Bayern over the past five years with their last win coming as far back as 2019 in the German Super Cup in which they won 2-0.

However, after 12 games within that period in all competitions, Dortmund has finally beaten Bayern Munich at their own backyard at the Alliance Arena in the Bundesliga to end this unwanted record.

Goals from Karim Adeyemi and Julian Ryerson in either half respectively, were enough to seal a 2-0 win in Munich to end their five years winless run against the Bavarians.
