Nsoatreman FC, the reigning MTN FA Cup champions, gear up for their maiden campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The draw, held at the Confederation of African Football (CAF) headquarters in Cairo on July 11th, 2024, pitted them against Chadian giants Elect Sport FC in the preliminary round.
This historic moment follows Nsoatreman’s remarkable triumph in the Ghana FA Cup, their first-ever top-flight title.
Their victory over Bofoakwa Tano FC earned them the prestigious right to represent Ghana on the continental stage.
The preliminary round kicks off in August, with Nsoatreman enjoying home advantage for the first leg against Elect Sport.
The club has opted to utilize the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi and the Accra Sports Stadium for their Confederation Cup campaign.
The winner of this tie will progress to the second round in September, where they’ll face the victor of the clash between Algerian side CS Constantine and Police FC of Rwanda.
The club’s management has expressed their unwavering determination: “We are ready to embrace this challenge and make all Ghanaians proud. We are under no illusions about the difficulties ahead, but we are confident in our abilities and the unwavering support of our fans.”
