CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe has reaffirmed his dedication to ensuring that all African nations can host international matches by enhancing football infrastructure across the continent.
Speaking at the CAF Extraordinary General Assembly in Cairo, Motsepe emphasized the strides made under his leadership, noting a significant decrease in the number of nations unable to host home matches due to inadequate stadium facilities.
Currently, 12 nations are still unable to play home games in their countries. Previously, this number stood at 38. Our goal is to ensure that every nation has a standard stadium, allowing teams to host matches on home soil. Motsepe stated.
Investing in stadium development remains a top priority for Motsepe, as he collaborates with FIFA and CAF member associations to upgrade facilities and promote sustainable football growth in Africa.
