Nathaniel Obeng, the Public Relations Officer of Swedru All Blacks, has reiterated the club’s position regarding the ongoing dispute with Elmina Sharks. He insists that Swedru All Blacks are the real victims of the incident in question.

Speaking to Citi Sports, Obeng emphasized that the club fully stands by its official statement.

When you look at the press statement issued by the club, whatever is in that statement is our position. That is exactly what happened, based on numerous accounts from the players, the technical team, and officials who were on the field or inside the stadium. I am expecting Elmina Sharks to condemn the violence that happened inside their stadium, but they haven’t done so yet.

Obeng further accused Elmina Sharks and their financier, Dr. Paa Kwesi Ndoum, of attempting to damage Swedru All Blacks’ reputation. He claimed that the Sharks were trying to shift blame onto the referee while portraying All Blacks in a negative light, all because of a controversial penalty awarded to them.

Additionally, Obeng refuted claims that Dr. Ndoum intervened to restore order at the stadium, asserting instead that he disrupted the match by stepping onto the field and confronting the referee. He alleged that Dr. Ndoum’s true intention was to have his players abandon the game.

As a club president, he walked onto the field to confront the referee. His initial purpose was to ask his players to walk off the pitch. He added.
