Following Ghana’s 3-0 triumph over Madagascar in their World Cup qualifier on March 25, 2025, Dr. Randy Abbey, Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee, has praised the team’s resilience and determination.

Reflecting on the match, Dr. Abbey admitted that the game was not an easy one, despite the convincing scoreline.

It was a difficult game [vs Madagascar], but the players and the entire team were determined to make sure that we made up for the non-qualification to the AFCON. Dr. Randy Abbey stated.

He also acknowledged the skepticism surrounding the team’s performance, noting that their struggles in previous competitions had led to doubts among fans.

If you critically assess the game against Madagascar, it wasn’t easy, and I can also appreciate why people were a bit skeptical. He added.

His statement highlights the pressure on the Black Stars to redeem themselves after their recent failure to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations.

However, with this victory, the team has taken a significant step toward rebuilding confidence and staying on course for World Cup qualification as Ghana is currently on top in group l with 15 points.
