Experienced goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi has sealed a move to Berekum Chelsea ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, The BAC Sports understands.

The 30-year-old finalized his contract on Wednesday night, July 30, signing a two-year deal, pending official confirmation from the club.

Nicknamed ‘Alawa’, Ofori Antwi returns to top-flight action after parting ways with Hearts of Oak earlier this year, where he made just eight league appearances since joining in August 2022 due to injury setbacks and limited game time.

The former Asante Kotoko shot-stopper is expected to step into the shoes of former first-choice goalkeeper Obeng Sekyere Gregory, who recently moved to Aduana Stars. Antwi will aim to make a strong impression and become a fan favorite at Golden City Park.

Notably, this move reunites him with head coach Samuel Boadu, under whom he previously played at both Medeama and Hearts of Oak. Preseason preparations for Berekum Chelsea are set to begin shortly as the team gears up for the new campaign.
