Ghanaian international Felix Afena-Gyan has kicked off his preseason training with Italian Serie B team Cremonese in preparation for the upcoming campaign.
The ex-Roma striker struggled with injuries last season with Cremonese. He only made eight appearances and scored one goal for the club.
The 21-year-old is determined to overcome the difficulties of the previous season and start strong with Cremonese.
He has now joined his Cremonese teammates as they ramp up their preparations for the 2024/25 season.
Afena-Gyan moved to Cremonese in August 2022 in pursuit of regular playing time.
Despite arriving with high expectations, the young Ghanaian has yet to fully hit his stride at the club.
Afena-Gyan gained recognition when he came off the bench to score two goals, helping Roma secure a win over Genoa in Serie A two seasons ago.
The forward has earned seven caps for the Black Stars since his debut in 2022, scoring one goal.
