The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has launched a five-day training program to enhance the skills of scouts from the Greater Accra, Central, Western, Eastern, and Volta regions.

The program, started on February 3 at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram, and focuses on key aspects of scouting, including talent identification, player profiling, and report writing.

The GFA Technical Director Prof. Joseph K. Mintah, leads the charge with a team of seasoned instructors such as Desmond Ofei, Director of Coaching Education; Joseph Tetteh-Zutah, Elite Academy Manager; Papa Nii Lartey, Head of Talent Identification and Development; Edward Acheampong; and Fataw Salifu, Scouts Manager.

This initiative aims to equip scouts with the necessary expertise to identify and nurture young football talents, ultimately strengthening Ghana’s football development pipeline.

The training will conclude on February 7, after which participants will return to their respective regions with enhanced skills to contribute to the growth of football in the country.
