President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku has arrived in Kumasi to lead a distinguished delegation from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the football community to the funeral of Yaw Frimpong, affectionately known as ‘Nana Pooley,’ a devoted Asante Kotoko supporter.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Heroes Park, Baba Yara Stadium. President Simeon-Okraku will be joined by members of the GFA Executive Council, Regional Football Association Chairmen, Club Executives, and other officials to express their support and solidarity with Asante Kotoko during this difficult period.
Last week, the GFA President personally visited Asante Kotoko, as well as the wife and family of the late fan, to offer his condolences and that of the Football Association.
The funeral is expected to bring together football administrators, supporters, and enthusiasts from across the country as they unite to honor the memory of a loyal Porcupine Warriors supporter and a passionate advocate for Ghanaian football.
