The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has successfully completed the FIFA Central Review and the Statutory Audit for the 2023/2024 financial year, reinforcing its commitment to transparency and sound financial governance.

According to the GFA, the FIFA Central Review, FIFA’s audit of its Member Associations for the period January 1 to December 31, 2024, was conducted by auditors from EY (Zurich) and concluded during an onsite audit in March 2025. This marks the sixth consecutive successful review since the current administration assumed office in 2019.

The FIFA Audit plays a critical role in maintaining the Association’s eligibility for funding from FIFA, including project and programme support under FIFA Forward. An unsuccessful audit could attract severe sanctions such as the suspension of funding.

This year’s review was coordinated by the Chief Finance Officer of the GFA, Mr. Collins Kwasi Dei, who ensured the Association met all requirements, the statement noted.

In addition, the GFA also completed its Statutory Audit for the 2023/2024 season, covering the financial period from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024. Conducted by international audit firm Baker Tilly Andah + Andah, the audit was finalized in December 2024 and has been submitted to FIFA. It will also be presented at the next GFA Congress as part of its official documentation.

This audit complies with Article 67 of the GFA Statutes, which mandates independent and external auditors appointed by Congress to conduct annual reviews of the Association’s financial management and report their findings.

Looking ahead, the GFA announced that preparations are already underway for the 2024/2025 statutory audit. The accounts for the period from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025, will be audited by the end of December 2025, with the findings submitted to both FIFA and CAF.
