Ghana international Mohammed Kudus has reflected on his debut season at West Ham United as the 2023/24 campaign comes to an end.

Kudus made a strong finish to the season after netting a stunning overhead kick goal in West Ham United’s defeat to Manchester City on Sunday on the final day of the 2023/24 English Premier League.

The Black Stars midfielder made a significant impact in his first season at West Ham United, scoring some important goals and also winning the Goal of the Season award at the club.

His sensational strike against Manchester City was his eight Premier League goal and 14th across competitions.

Reflecting on his first season with West Ham, Kudus credited the playing body for the massive support in ensuring he settles in well at the club.

“It has been a long season with ups and downs but lots of lessons. I’m proud of the whole team. In today’s game, everyone game their best trying to do everything to finish off a high note. Overall, I’m really proud of the team. The manager also, even though we post the game but the attitude was right”

“We lost on a fighting spirit. We could only do our best. Thanks to the manager and everyone at the club. It’s my first season but the staff, the players, the coaches and everyone around the club really helped me to really settle in well”

“Big credit to myself also, for believing in myself and putting in the effort day in day out. We can only get better. It’s good to get the first season on the run but I think I have a long way to go and there is more stuff ahead”

Kudus, who joined West Ham United, last summer is already attracting interest from English giants Liverpool ahead of the summer transfer window.
