Young Italian-born Ghanaian right-back Mike Aidoo has been included in Simone Inzaghi’s Inter Milan squad for Wednesday’s Champions League clash against Young Boys.
Aidoo, who has been a standout performer for Inter’s U20 team in the Italian Primavera1 division, was also part of the first team’s pre-season preparations.
The 19-year-old has impressed with his surging runs, composure under pressure, and pinpoint crosses, earning high praise from Inzaghi.
The coach has invited Aidoo to train with the first team multiple times since last season, showing confidence in the young defender’s potential.
Aidoo has started all eight league games for Inter’s U20s this season, contributing an assist along the way.
He hopes this Champions League call-up will be a stepping stone toward securing a permanent place in the Nerazzurri’s first team.
