Kumasi Asante Kotoko will return to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday for a highly anticipated Ghana Premier League clash against Aduana Stars, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00 PM.
The match marks the first game under the leadership of newly appointed head coach, Karim Zito, who was recently tasked with steering the Porcupine Warriors for the rest of the season following the departure of Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum.
Kotoko, currently fifth on the league table with 47 points from 28 matches, will be desperate to turn their fortunes around after a difficult spell, having won just one of their last five games. Aduana Stars, on the other hand, sit 11th with 38 points after 28 matches and are in better form, boasting three wins, one draw, and one loss in their last five outings.
The head-to-head record between these two sides in their last five meetings shows Kotoko slightly ahead with three victories compared to Aduana’s two. Kotoko also triumphed earlier this season, securing a commanding 2-0 win at the Nana Agyemang-Badu Stadium.
