Hearts Coach Didi Dramani Focused on Strong Start Against Hohoe United in GPL Opener
Accra Hearts of Oak head coach, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, says his side is fully focused on getting their Ghana Premier League campaign off to a strong start when they face Hohoe United in the season opener on Friday.
The Phobians will welcome the newly promoted side in what promises to be a tricky first fixture, but Dramani insists his team is only concentrating on themselves.
It’s about starting strong,” the coach said at the pre-match press conference. “It’s difficult to tell who is a new and older player. All we have is Hearts of Oak players and technical team.”
Dramani, who took charge earlier this year, has overseen a mix of experienced players and fresh signings during pre-season. He stressed that his focus is not on labels but on unity and performance.
Our goal is to build a collective identity. Once you wear this jersey, you are a Hearts player. That is the mentality we are taking into the season,” he added.
The match against Hohoe United will be the latter’s debut in Ghana’s top flight, making them eager to announce themselves in style. However, Hearts of Oak will look to use their home advantage and experience to secure all three points.
